Political Action Committee
West Virginia Agents' Political Action Committee (WAPAC) is the West Virginia Agents' Political Action Committee—a voluntary, nonprofit unincorporated committee established by the Independent Insurance Agents of West Virginia to complement its legislative program. WAPAC serves an important function for IIAWV’s government affairs program by providing a cohesive voice in our state capital.
WAPAC pools contributions from West Virginia's independent agents to support selected candidates for the West Virginia House and Senate, as well as the Governor’s office, who share our business philosophies.
WAPAC is important to us as independent agents because it allows us to speak with one strong voice, reinforcing our "presence" in the state capitol. However, contributing to WAPAC does not reduce the need for you to actively participate in elections held at the local, state and national levels.
WAPAC contributions or gifts to a political action committee are not deductible as charitable contributions for income tax purposes. Only checks written on personal accounts are acceptable. (Business contributions are not eligible for acceptance.)
